Okay, so I have been forgetting to post this meme answer for ages, sorry! But I just saw it again on my desktop, and beat the laziness down to bring you another small taste of my awesomeness. *smirk*

The loverly [livejournal.com profile] banana_cave gave me 5 things she associates with me, though I was confuzzled by one until I read her reasoning (left in for your viewing pleasure), heh.

Buffy/Angel - Usually seeing Buffy/Angel makes people think of the character's lovey-dovey pairing, but not me - as I hate that couple, urk! - instead I think of my first major tv show fandom universe: Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Series, thanks Joss! I had, heh still do have, much love for pretty much all the elements of this universe (except, as mentioned before, the romances often upset/confused me). I was super obsessed with the show back in the day. I watched every episode; usually with my moms, or when at school, with my roommate(s). I bought the Buffy magazines and almost all of the trade paperback books (which I still really like BTW). And had my walls plastered with posters and cutout pics from the show (and I mean the whole walls, I think my mom still has photos of it all somewhere - it was epic). Just the idea of fighting monsters in the modern world gets me, whether they are supernatural or alien or prehistoric, or even human, in origin, I don't care; I just love it. The fact that the show had great writing, characters, and concepts, and went on for seven seasons, simply makes the fodder for the fandom that much richer. I absolutely love the fact that there are fanfics for this show. I went through a phase where I searched them all out, good and bad and worse, as many as I could find, and read them during all my free time; I'm not tired of them yet (well the good ones anyway), I still regularly go search for new fics in the fandom. I happen to LOVE the character Spike and search out fics about him the most, but I enjoy others if they are well written. I especially love the fics that "fix mistakes" that bugged me from the show - like, Angel IS Spike's sire, dumbarses! forever! so there =P

Football - So, she says - "ok, so random, but remember that football flick that we watched in your dorm room? I remember you got up to leave during the death scene. LOL that was so cute." - making me search my mind for these memories, and I think the movie was Remember the Titans? I so cry at that movie. What!? It was freaking sad, alright. We used to watch a lot of stuff together (Cowboy Bebop!), ah, the memories. Since I don't much care for football, seeing this word on her list totally threw me for a loop; I'm very glad she explained herself, even if she made me sound like a weepy woman.

Math - I love it! When I work, I work as a math teacher. My job related life goal is to work as a Math Professor at a college. I was a math major in college, and very smart (if I do say so myself, and I just did). The rest of the people in my classes used to have me lead study groups; I rocked. I also worked as a math tutor while in college, so I tutored a LOT of people, including some friends. The big story my old roommate likes to tell is how I used to fall asleep while doing my homework and then wake up shouting that I knew the answer (usually worked best for physics), and oddly enough, I totally would. Seems I even do math in my sleep.

Awesomeness - I so totally am, lol. But I think she means because I say/type it all the time in comments, heh. I guess, in this way, I really am a California girl - at least in writing. Funny enough, but I almost never actually say totally, awesome, for sure, fine, or like in the stereotypical way (at least not any more *blushes*). "Like, totally, for sure! I even got a manicure..."

Wall of hot guys - I LOVE to decorate my walls. And I use the whole damn wall. What's the use of wasting space, I say. Every place I've lived in (except my one room in grandma's house right now, and that's because it's that old school ribbed/crinkled wall crap - yuck and arg!) has been plastered with posters, magazine pages and cutouts, and all sorts of other interesting art. But I think my most famous works have been my Buffyverse wall, which I mentioned before, at our Gresham, Oregon house (my moms still occasionally bitches at me about having to take that down alone when they moved, over 5 years ago, without me there to help pack, thank god!), and my dorm room walls at college. Those suckers were covered in pics of hot, hot, hot men. Tons of pics of yummy guys. At a Christian college. They were very popular amongst my female friends, hee. I once had photographs of all these walls! Wonder what happened to those photos...
