7 Things Meme
- list 7 habits/quirks/facts
1. I have a large love for calendars. Every year I have at least three, I would get more when I had more rooms to fill. This year, my single room has three. I keep my old ones for the pretty pictures too.
2. I love art. I draw with pencils, pastels, charcoal, and with a tablet on the computer. I paint with acrylic, gouache, watercolor, and with a tablet on the computer. I create collages with pictures from magazines (made a few for Christmas presents, my bro's was from a Victoria Secret catalog, heh). I take photos and also do photo-manipulations. I recently got into cross stitching, working on a 10" x 14" one right now. I have also done ceramics, oil painting, beading, and many, many other crafts.
3. I absolutely love to own complete sets of things. I am always looking for missing parts of my collections. Like, book series - Star Trek Voyager, Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Star Wars, etc.; authors - Mercedes Lackey (Valdemar Series), Laurell K. Hamilton, Jim Butcher, etc.; comics - ElfQuest, WildCats, Gen13, etc.; manga - Naruto, Saiyuki, Bleach, etc.; TV Shows - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, Golden Girls, etc.; movies - Harry Potter, Star Wars, Chronicles of Riddick, etc.; anime - Yu Yu Hakusho, GetBackers, Knight Hunters, etc., and way too many more to name (including action figures, and cards).
4. I have Celiac Disease, which means I can't have gluten. So, my diet had to go through a change; no more flour on/in anything, and no more rye or barley based things either. I can have almost no pre-packaged foods, most now needs to be actually cooked from scratch (huge bummer for non-cook me). I eat tapioca flour bread (pretty good but kinda small), and rice flour noodles (totally can't tell a difference anymore), and miss pizza like crazy!! At least I have a legit excuse for saying no to yucky beer now, heh.
5. I will quite often take food presents over money, lol. I'm getting enchiladas for Valentine's Day instead of $10 from my grandma. I love my Grandma :)
6. I am obsessed with fanfic. Really I am, but I go through cycles, so my fandom interests change over time, then usually cycle back. I am currently coming back into the Harry Potter love stage (been out of that for months instead reading random anime fics and playing computer games). I adore Aduro's fic at fanfiction.net, I recommend them to all!! They are great, and focus on Draco - my fave (he's yummy).
7. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and my stories never seem to be finished enough to post for my tastes, lol, so I was shocked when the Christmas Tale actually got put up. I have several other fics at least partially written (even original ones) yet none are ready for the world yet, heh.
