I was asked these questions by

Questions:
1. Who's your favorite actor and why?
2. What are your five desert island movies? (Movies you'll be watching for the rest of your life).
3. What's your favorite icon and why?
4. What's your favorite joke?
5. What are you up to these days?
1. Who's your favorite actor and why? - *sigh* You just had to ask me favorite questions didn't you? I have a really, really hard time narrowing my likes to one, or even two, faves. So, here you go a few of my current likes (and I'm just doing actors, as in men, hah!):
Johnny Depp (especially as Captain Jack Sparrow)

Karl Urban (most recently as Bones)

Ezra Anthony Stark (loved him as Ezra P. Standish in Magnificent 7 TV Show)

Jensen Ackles (who doesn't love Dean Winchester!?)

Christian Kane (the hair! much love for the hair, recently in Leverage)

And of course we can't forgetSpi James Marsters Spike

2. What are your five desert island movies? (Movies you'll be watching for the rest of your life). - Man, you like to torture me huh? Only five? Well, that sucks. I won't get into animated films or disney movies or asian fighting ones or we'd be here forever. Ok, I think these five:
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

The Princess Bride

Shaolin Soccer

and Star Wars (all of them dammit!) I FAIL! at this question...

3. What's your favorite icon and why? - Oh, dammit...more of this pick one crap?! You're killing me Smalls! I will choose one of MY icons to make this easy on me. Only 15 to choose from, yay.
I think my fave is this red close up one of me, my super happy face

4. What's your favorite joke? - You hate me. Hmm...I have no fave joke, but this comic makes me crack up every time, it's actually the first thing I thought of, lol.
"Smack" a Harry Potter crack comic

this one is pretty damn funny too "The Plan"

5. What are you up to these days? - Finally! A question not involving any favorites, yay! Let's see, how about we go about this in an ordered way, hmm?
Job: I still have my math teaching credential and am currently looking for a long term placement in a high school, college, or middle school in my area. I can get substitute work easy, but I'd prefer a more permanent gig. Recently had an interview with a Christian High School, so hopefully that goes through if not, there are a few other prospects.
Living: In Winton out in the country at my grandparent's ranch. I have a room upstairs in the main house, in my house are my grandparents, me, two of my cousins and one baby. Then living on the property in other houses and mobile homes are my aunt, my cousins parents, my uncle and his family, and my great aunt. That is two houses, two mobile homes, and a motor home thing.
Hobbies: Currently obsessed with my intuos3 tablet and using GIMP on my computer to create art and moving gif files. Just learned how to make my own brush types! In love with deviantArt and entering contests there, never won one yet, but it's fun anyways. I also still draw the traditional way and often scan the line arts into the computer to color. I also recently got into painting with watercolor and oils again. I still have way far to go on those skills, lol.
Music: Love, love, love it all. I have very eclectic taste in music. Recently burned all my cds onto my new computer (and then gave most of them away as presents) and I download new songs onto it all the time too. I am currently working on getting my music files organized and correctly labeled. Do you know how many of those downloaded songs have the wrong title name, or don't have the album or even artist info listed? A major pain to go look it all up, I tell you, but I totally HAVE to have it correct. Wikipedia is my new best friend.
Games: I love my PS2 but it is getting old and refusing to play some games, or only playing them if you wear purple and stand on your head, I swear that thing. So, I am seriously thinking of buying a PS3, plus I HAVE to be able to play God of War 3 and that will only be on the PS3! evol company. I've been trying to get 100% complete on all my Lego games (star wars 1, star wars 2, indianna jones, batman) and that is mindless fun. Also, just recently my 5 year old cousin has discovered I have Guitar Hero 3 and he can play using the controller. Before he played the lego games with me, but they are not challenging enough now I guess, lol. So, we play Guitar Hero against each other, him on the controller me with the guitar. I suck, but I used to be even worse. You see, one day we played on medium, and he kicked my arse (he also kicked my other cousin's butt to so I didn't feel too bad). I decided to practice on my own after that, so I could BEAT A FIVE YEAR OLD, I'm pathetic.
On the computer front, I'm kicking it old school. I have some new awesome games to play (like Fable and The Witcher), but have been loving playing Diablo and Fallout, the first ones! So fun to just hack and slash in Diablo, and Fallout is cool too. Oh! I love cheating at the original Age of Empires too (did you know entering 'pepperoni pizza' gets you free food?).
Life: Just went to the county fair yesterday ($10 to get in, can you belive!). Parked at my grandma Pena's house, which is across the street from the fairgrounds, then walked over. Was there for about four hours. I was sad that due to my celiac disease I couldn't eat my normal fair foods (like a CORNDOG!), bummer for me. Walked around and looked at all the booths, considered buying my dad a fairy princess crown for his birthday this week *snicker*. I then watched the Bucky Covington concert, yeah that country dude from American Idol. He looks like a blond surfer chick and sounds like yumm! I liked it. He has a really nice deep voice, and some good songs of his own (A Different World), he also played "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd, plus he has a twin named Rocky (ftw). My fave part of the concert though was at the very end where he introduced the band. As he introduced each one they got a short solo on their instrument, and they chose some awesome songs (like Jump by Van Halen and Crazy by Aerosmith, a metallica song, others, and the rocky theme song).
After the concert I went to hang at the beer gardens with my cousins (5), my bro, some significant others (4), and some friends (3), and listened to the local band play. One of my cousins got on stage with the band during a number and was like doing the okie stomp. He was drunk, lol, (heck they all were). Later on he put his girlfriend's daughter on stage and she was rockin out, it was cute. He also managed to drag me out for one dance too, still haven't quite figured out how he did it as I DO NOT dance (in public anyways), and I was not drunk. I had one strawberry margarita and some ice cream, as I had to drive several of us home.
When it was time to head home we walked back to my grandma's house on the other side of the street than we had walked to the fair on - bad decision. There was one house with a real tall fence and trees, so we couldn't see the next house/yard coming. So, we four were chillin' talking about lines from a movie (Medea Goes to Jail), when we come to the next yard and three huge ass German Shepherd dogs jump on their little ass fence and bark at us. Scared the ever loving shite out of all of us, there was screaming (all of us) and some running (my cousin and her friend) involved. As my other cousin and I walked on by the yard we saw that there were no fewer than 8 of the dogs and more like 10 of them, and they were not happy with us being so near their yard at night. I'm glad the pack of German Shepherds wasn't too hungry or too angry, that fence was so fucking short! They could have jumped it easily, and I wasn't too keen on being eaten. We made it to my grandma's house with no bites, and still thumping hearts. We got home at about 12:30 at night, which wasn't too bad.
All righty then, I think that is enough for now. If any of you are even still bothering to read this really long thing, I didn't mean for it to be this long! sorry ><
Thank you.
